We’re a little behind schedule here for our final day of Giving, but, nevertheless, here is the final Give of 2012.
With warmth in our hearts, my daughters, my mother and I sat around the Christmas tree this morning opening some very special gifts, many of which brought Robert into our hearts and minds for our first Christmas Day without him.
We took our lovely dogs for a walk through the woods and enjoyed the cool crisp air in the Caledon hills.
And now we are cuddled around the fireplace with family and friends waiting for the turkey to cook – because I misread the weight of the turkey and thought is was 8lbs instead of 8kg – oops! Great excuse to play games, though.
It has been a trying year, but we’ve managed to make it through the difficult times by keeping Robert’s memory alive in all that we do.
And that is my final Give for you today…
Time, memories, love, and peace.
We are all dealt difficult times, but we are strong and healthy and able to both give and receive love.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
