Groan!  The alarm woke me at 4:45 am.  Why am I up so early?  Oh yes!!  I’m off to New York City not to play but to work.  I have numerous meetings lined up over the next three days all with a purpose to help me realize goals I have set for myself.  Remember, I have already blogged about my hopes for 2013.  Just having the words written down helps to lend credence to them.  I keep them in my head always, even at this early hour as I make the trip south to The Big Apple.

Kiersten, my daughter and social media coordinator, has been invited to travel along as her skills are needed to help create that special magic that she excels at.  She will be attending all the meetings because having a brand is nothing if you don’t have social media driving it.  Glad she is on it.  Rachel, my eldest, will be on the Canadian side posting about our NYC experiences as I feed her my words and as Kiersten sends photos.  You will be kept abreast of the entire trip and its’ happenings.
Some of my meetings include working with my amazingly talented book agent, Yfat Reiss Gendell.  She has been at my side throughout my author journey, guiding my career.  When I have raved about the Power of Women, she is one of them and I admire her tremendously because she soldiers on and creates opportunities for me.  We are meeting with my new publisher and then having dinner afterwards.  I will keep firmly in my thoughts my gratitude for this amazing opportunity and I will also ask for what I need in order to drive my 2013 goals.
There are more meetings over the course of the trip, each part of my strategy for building and achieving success in 2013.  I am armed with passion and drive.  More pictures and stories to come.
