This morning I posted my morning Eat-Clean Assembly Line – basically my Eat-Clean meal plan for the day on Facebook and Instagram, see it here. So I thought I’d share the breakdown of my meal plan today!
Many of you asked about serving size of things on Facebook. I have to be honest I don’t know sometimes! I try to listen to my body’s triggers for hunger and satiation so sometimes I forget to measure.
The recipes listed in the meal plan above are:
1. Beet Juice: 1-2 beets, 1 carrot, 1 apple, knob of ginger – throw it in your juicer
2. Green detox smoothie <<< recipe here!
3. Quinoa Cakes <<< recipe here! (the patties on the spinach greens). Now this is my standard recipe. I get creative with it. I’ll throw in a number of things like mushrooms, leeks, spices, even tempeh to my food processor with the standard recipe and just get crazy! Never be afraid to get creative, seriously, eating clean is fun!
4. Paleo Loaf <<< recipe here! I use Gwenyth Paltrow’s recipe a) because she rocks b) so does her website GOOP c) this recipe is the easiest thing to make, you can get super creative (remember my Gingerbread?) and d) it tastes amazing!
Keep your discussion and questions coming!
Happy Eating Clean,
TR – xo

Tosca, why do you not use protein powder in your morning green smoothie in addition to the nut butter? Just curious.
What are Coach Rita’s thoughts on having more protein for breakfast…I always thought it helps jump start the metabolism? Thanks this wonderful post about your meal plan. I will have to try the Quinoa Cakes recipe. YUM
Hi Lauren, this is Kiersten from Tosca’s team. Tosca will throw in a scoop of protein to the shake from time to time. You can do the same. We hope you enjoyed the quinoa cakes!
Ate you paleo now??
Hi there Barby, this is Kiersten from Tosca’s Team. Tosca is not fully paleo but likes to experiment with the recipes!
Do you peel the beets before juicing? Does the beet juice need to be made daily or could you make a batch and freeze in small portions? (Hate cleaning the juicer!) Thanks!
I’ve followed tosca for many years and she has been an inspiration for me to follow a career in nutrition. I’ve noticed recently that her diet has transitioned to a more holistic, plant based approach. I would love to hear more about tosca’s recent approach to nutrition as well as how it makes sense with trying to build lean muscle. Where can I find more information?
