Are you feeling the March blahs? I am. The slushy snow and the grey skies are really testing my emotions lately. I have found myself day dreaming of sunny skies, warmth, my garden, playing outside… Ahhhh! Summer feels so far away. It doesn’t help that I’m exhausted from the weekend’s events at The Arnold Sports Festival.
I have noticed that when I’m this tired I crave JUNK – really carb heavy, sugar laden junk. The other day I indulged in an Oatmeal Cookie and Carrot Cake Cupcake right before dinner. Wtf? Not to mention that it has been super challenging to get into the gym, even though I know that would be the best medicine. Even the “Eat-Clean Lady” falls off the bandwagon. It is obvious, I need to change my tape – the one rolling in my mind. I need to take care of myself by going back to the basics: sleeping well, eating 5-6 small clean meals a day, and getting enough water. I need to focus on stability and balance in preparation for my trip to Australia. A mental check in is going to do me really well! What do you do when you find yourself slipping?
